2nd Amendment Our founding fathers believed that our right to bear arms was fundamental to protect all our other rights as evidenced in the Constitution. As your State Senator, I will fight to protect the 2nd Amendment! I am a gun owner, I have my concealed carry permit, and have actively and emphatically supported the 2nd Amendment throughout my lifetime.

Pro Life As a wife and mother, I believe that we have a duty to protect the lives of the most vulnerable among us. The unborn and elderly are by far the most vulnerable in our society. As your State Senator, I will fight to protect all life! I am adopted and am alive today because someone chose life; this issue is extremely important to me and my family. We also need to address adoption reform in the state of Georgia and work together to protect Georgia’s children. Let’s make it easier for loving families who would like to adopt a child.

Agriculture Agriculture is our number one industry and protecting our farmers, promoting agritourism, and preserving our roots and way of life is my priority. As a member of FFA in high school, I know and value agriculture and the impact it has on our communities. Agriculture is vital to our existence and I will fight for our farmers and our farming way of life. I am a member of GFB and my husband is an ag lender; from field to fork and everywhere in between, we could not live without our farmers.

Taxes As a good citizen I have no problem paying my fair share in taxes, but I know every dollar the government takes is a dollar taken away from families who need their money to raise their children, pay their bills, and put food on the table. Over taxation on businesses is detrimental – this money could be used to hire new people and to reinvest in the community. As a hard working Georgian, I join you in fighting for common sense fiscal responsibility. That’s why I want our state government to be as efficient and lean as it possibly can be. After all, it’s not the government’s money; it’s our money!

Transportation Over the last 4 years, I have driven over 200,000 miles, mostly in Senate District 50. Our infrastructure is in dire need of attention. I will fight to get the transportation funding that we so desperately need to improve our roads and bridges.

Gangs It is an alarming fact that criminal street gangs are now expanding into Northeast Georgia. As a former Assistant District Attorney, I know that our law enforcement agencies need all our help and support if we are going to stave off these gangs. I will make sure that the law enforcement in our area gets the funding, training, and support that they need from the state to protect us all.

Jobs We need smart, strategic planning. By protecting our heritage, our lands, our way of life, while also supporting smart growth to help our tax digests, I will fight for employment opportunities that preserves what we love about Northeast Georgia. As your State Senator I will advocate and champion for a balance between maintaining the uniqueness of our communities and promoting businesses. I will work with our Chambers of Commerce, Development Authorities, Economic Development, local government, small business owners, and our local citizens to make sure that we are in the best position to support our local small businesses, to attract the right new business and industry, and to safeguard the beauty of rural Northeast Georgia.

We fell short of the votes needed to make the runoff. While I am disappointed, I know that our next State Senator will represent us well under the Gold Dome. A sincere THANK YOU to all of those that supported me along the way, the prayers, words of encouragement, and those that voted for me.
God bless you all!

𝘼𝙗𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙨 - Friends, there are thousands of absentee ballots from Stephens and Jackson counties that have not been processed, counted, nor submitted to the SOS office in my SD50 race. I will wait to make any public comment about the outcome of my race until all ballots are counted.
𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙔𝙤𝙪 - I do want to take a moment and say thank you to my friends, family, and supporters that have stood beside me, lifted me in prayer, and provided support in my efforts. Sometimes we just don't understand why God leads us down a path, but I can assure you I continue to put my faith in Him and am truly thankful for this amazing experience. I have met remarkable people and made friendships that will last a lifetime. My husband, Nathan, has been my rock and words can't describe how much I appreciate and love him. Chairman Max has been such an encourager, supporter, and such a love to me. Again, I am so grateful.
𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙎𝘿 50 - Lastly, I want to say that no matter what the outcome, my love for Senate District 50 is unwavering. I love the communities and the people and I will continue to work to make SD50 the best place to live, work, worship, and play. I have a servant's heart and my dedication to SD50 and our state is not measured by election results.
Thank you all again!
